Having experienced homelessness in his younger years, Jordan understands the power of comfort, connection, and joy. Cooking became the turning point in his life — a way to rebuild, find purpose, and create a future. It’s no exaggeration to say that cooking saved his life.

 

Jordan first gained recognition during lockdown, when his handmade beef Wellingtons became a local sensation, delivering restaurant-quality food straight to people’s doors at a time when they needed it most. From there, JB Kitchen was born, built on his belief that fine dining doesn’t have to be intimidating or exclusive. Good food should be exciting, generous, and available to everyone.

 

In 2023, Jordan’s creativity and skill earned him a place as a finalist on Five Star Chef with Michel Roux Jr. While the experience put him on the national stage, it also reinforced his mission: to make food that is as meaningful as it is memorable.

 

Today at JB Upstairs, Jordan takes guests on a world tour of flavours through his tasting menus, bringing global cuisines to life with his signature JB twist. From reimagined Sunday roasts to Asian-inspired flavour bombs, his menus are designed to surprise, delight, and spark conversation.

 

For Jordan, dining is about more than just what’s on the plate — it’s about making people feel looked after, creating memories, and showing that food can truly change lives.
